Changing Seasons

Modern is having a renaissance.

Oh, it never really goes out of style,
but just keep getting more and more affordable.
CB2 is a good source for it here in the states.

A step above IKEA, but the same basic concept,
CB2 has made a good mix of cool and quirky
while keeping the cost down low.

Their seasonal offerings are also a great way to keep current.
Take their rugs for example. It's like paint.
Take out the old and bring in the new - it's like a new room.

Today we have 15 rugs.
15 (not our normal 12) because 3 have text on them,
and I know some of you think that's just a faux pas.
Worse, you move your mouth every time you read it.

This is also a new type of offering.
Some of you like bigger rugs and some like smaller.
Now you can have both.
4x3 and/or 2x3
Each file type has both sizes zipped up for your convenience.
If you don't want one of the sizes - toss it out - it's that affordable.

So whether you want your whitewashed beach cottage to have a pop of color,

or you want to dine in style in your concrete loft,

or you simply need a crazy cat lady rug,

you can do it in style.

OH. Almost forgot.

See that concrete wall? How 'bout that beachy paneled wall.
I am also giving you these.
I cannot take credit for them entirely. Some notes:

While I altered these and compiled them into wall files,
these textures were created by other, unknown artists.
The concrete pattern was simply named concretestruddle
and all inquiries and Google searches come up empty.
I used that pattern base to create a wall.
Many had asked where I got the pattern and I sadly do not know,
so now you can have the walls I use in my own game.
The second I think is a S2 wall that is also uncredited
Simply called paneledwall,
I tweaked it to be more like the paneled walls
of an arts and crafts bungalow.
Concrete wall has three channels.
Paneled wall has four channels.
IF ANYONE knows who created these original files,
I am happy to credit these talented artists.

February 25, 2013 - Selentic1 was kind enough to provide the artists name for
Concrete Struddle. I still use this pattern in so many of my builds. The artist is Baroque
and the link
for the official pattern is here - THANK YOU Selentic1!!

Because these are large files:

  1. Thank you bau, those are beautiful!
The cat ones scares me, although, I can see a very old simmie lady with thouse all over the house.
    Speaking of cats... purrr :)

  2. Once again dear Sir you kick A@#! Thanks so much for these. Love them all and the walls!

  3. Thank you both! I really appreciate it :)

#MK You know - when I first collected the images a few months back, I was sitting there scratching my head over a couple of them - the cat especially. Now I think it's hysterical - it just wouldn't match my own home.

Kementari I am not sure why I have fought making walls all this time, but I hope to have a few more soon. As simple as they are, they are highly rewarding in game :)

  4. you always make the best stuff! <333333

  5. awesome! beautiful!
    except the cat ...
you think it's a cat? it looks like Lucifer...
    thanks kisses from Paris...

  6. Thank you H. Lee & etoile! :)

I have come to the opinion that many cats should be called Lucifer hehe - mine has a head that spins around and when she vomits, she must run through the house to find a kilim to do it on. Lovely!

    Love the cat . . . embrace the cat . . .

  7. Super yummy delicious!

  8. They are absolutely gorgeous, thank you so much! And your screenshots are beautiful and classy, as always!

  9. Love your stuff on here!

I was just wondering about the fold down desk in the second photo. is it available?

  10. hey honey{pumpkin}pie - figures I missed something! That can be found at BPS - it's by Jonesi here: http://www.blackpearlsims.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=557

  11. Just adding on here xD I think I found the concrete floors: http://www.thesimsresource.com/members/ginebra/downloads/details/category/sims3-materials-miscellaneous/title/Concrete%20Struddle/id/938446/

  12. hi [aretha]! Thank you for trying, but while the names are the same, it's not the correct pattern - had to open it in s3pe to make sure :( Thank you so much for helping to look though - eventually this artist will get credit! It is one of my most used/abused patterns!

  13. Hiya! I Love all your stuff!! Just wanted to comment about the concrete wall design. I believe it was created by Baroque. He uses it in his Sera Bedroom set. At the bottom of the page near the download for the bedroom set, he does a p.s. mentioning how people were asking about the concrete wall and says that he created it and gives a download link for it: http://baroquesims.blogspot.com/2010/07/sera-bedroom.html
    Hope that helps.

  14. Thank you! I will make sure to link this! Still, to this day, is one of my favorite patterns!
